Mangalore, Aug 31: The city gets yet another professional college - Shree Devi Institute of Technology, under the banner of Shree Devi Educational Trust located at Kenjar on Airport Road.

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday August 30, Trust chairman A Sadananda Shetty informed that the college is affiliated to Vishweshwaraiah Technological University (VTU) in Belgaum and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Vice-chairman of the Trust Nidhish Shetty said that the admissions for the year 2006-07 are under way for management quota and CET. Out of 60 seats, 15 percent will be reserved for management and NRI quota and the rest for CET.

The college is equipped with facilities like laboratory, workshop, computers and library with over 5000 books. There is also hostel facility for boys and girls.

The college, which will offer four-year, BE degree in mechanical, computer science, information technology and electronics and communication, is expected to be formally inaugurated in the first week of October.
