Mangalore, Aug 29: A touring team from Kashmir consisting of students visited the city to watch the Ganeshotsava festivities at Sasihithlu at Kulai in Suratkal here.

The team of 33 members, touring different states under the rural youth exchange programme of Jammu Kashmir state government, arrived here on Thursday August 24.

They visited the Kulai Women's Club and the Girls' Club and the houses of advocate M Vishnumurthy who discoursed on the significance of Ganeshotsava. They also met Nehru Yuva Kendra district coordinator C J F D'Souza.

Nehru Yuva Kendra's Vishnumurthy, Women's Club secretary Devaki Poovappa, Meenakshi Devdas, Revathi and Sheela Chowta were present.
