Mumbai, Aug 23: Former Miss Universe and Bollywood star Sushmita Sen will star alongside Richard Gere in a Hollywood film to be shot in Argentina, a newspaper said on Tuesday.
Sen, who is among a small group of Indian actors with growing international recognition, had already signed up for the film, the Mumbai Mirror quoted her as saying.
"And yes, Richard Gere plays the male lead," Sen told the newspaper, adding that US-based filmmaker Sutapa Ghosh would direct the Miramax production called "The Expat".
"I'm looking forward to working with Sutapa and Richard," Sen said.
Sen would portray an Indian immigrant in the film, the report said.
The newspaper did not say when shooting would begin or give a date for the film's release.
