New Delhi, Jul 4: The Supreme Court will take up the petition filed by the Bar Council of India challenging the Kerala High Court order permitting nuns, priests enrolling as lawyers.
The state High Court overruled the decision of the enrolment committee of the Bar Council of Kerala on the issue.
The Council had argued that its rules do not permit persons like nuns and priests engaged in religious activities to become advocates.
