Japan's consumer prices up


Tokyo, Nov 29 (IANS): The Japanese government Friday said the country's consumer prices grew 0.9 percent in October compared to the same period last year for the fifth straight month of increase.

According to Japan's internal affairs ministry, the core consumer price index, excluding fresh foods, stood at 100.7 against the 2010 base of 100, reports Xinhua.
