Mangalore, Jan 9: Lancy D'Silva (28), a resident of Kalmanja near Ujire here who was to be wed on Monday January 9 met with an accident on Sunday January 8 evening.
Lancy had gone to purchase some gold ornaments including the 'kariamani' and was returning home when a speeding jeep hit his mobike. As a result he sustained injuries in his head. He was immediately taken to the hospital and was treated. However, since his wedding was due on Monday, he was discharged by night, so that the pre-planned programme would go on without any hindrance.
The Beltangady police have registered a case in this regard.
