  • When Noorullah Khan's driver Moula was in the car, a youth came and told him that some currency notes were lying near the vehicle

Bangalore, Jan 7: A youth on Friday diverted the attention of the car driver of a transport company's managing director and made away with a briefcase containing Rs. 2.2 lakhs in cash, which was in the vehicle.

The police said that around 10.30 a.m., Noorullah Khan, managing director of a private transport company, got down from his car on Palace Road and went to a mosque.

When Noorullah Khan's driver Moula was in the car, a youth came and told him that some currency notes were lying near the vehicle.

When Moula got down from the vehicle and started picking the notes, the youth made away with Noorullah Khan's briefcase that was in the car.

On a complaint by Noorullah Khan, the High Grounds police have registered a case and are investigating.
