Jamie Avoided TV, Feared Hearing Spears' Death News


Los Angeles, Oct 21 (IANS): When Britney Spears' was suffering from drug meltdown in 2007, her father Jamie Spears feared watching television thinking it might give him the news of his daughter's death.

Britney, her father and her mother Lynne are currently being sued by her former manager Sam Lutfi.

Lawyer Leon Gladstone mentioned Jamie's fear, reports thesun.co.uk.

"Jamie was living in constant fear that he was going to look at the TV one day and see Britney was dead," Gladstone said.

"He's scared to death and thinking to himself, 'My daughter has lost everything. Here she is, in a psychiatric ward, out of her head'," he added.

Lutfi, 38, has complained that Jamie tried to hit him and that Spears did not give him his dues.
