London, Oct 7 (IANS): Singer Cheryl Cole says her ex-husband, footballer Ashley Cole's extra marital affairs made her doubt herself.

Cheryl, 29, has written about her experience in her upcoming autobiography "Cheryl: My Story" and says that she even went to sexual health clinic to ensure that nothing was wrong with her, reports thesun.co.uk.

"His infidelity had been putting me at risk for a long time - I had to put my mind at rest," she has written.

The two were married for four years before the news of Ashley's affairs with several women surfaced and they parted ways in 2010.

Cheryl is currently dating dancer Tre Holloway.
