Anand, Nov 5: Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF), which markets dairy products under the Amul brand, has increased the prices of ghee by Rs 50 per litre and table butter by Rs 15 per 500-gram pack, effective November 2.

In a statement, GCMMF said the maximum retail prices (MRP) of Amul table butter, Amul ghee and Amul cow ghee had been revised due to rising input costs.

"As a cooperative owned by 36 lakh farmers, Amul has revised the prices of butter and ghee owing to the increase in input costs of milk production," the federation said.

Following the revision, the price of a 500-gram pack of Amul table butter has increased from Rs 310 to Rs 325. The price of a one-litre pouch of Amul ghee has gone up from Rs 630 to Rs 680, while Amul cow ghee will now cost Rs 735 per litre, compared to the earlier price of Rs 695.

GCMMF is among the country's leading dairy organisations. Its turnover increased by 11.4 per cent to Rs 73,450 crore in the 2025-26 financial year, compared to Rs 65,911 crore in the previous fiscal.

The overall turnover of the Amul brand crossed Rs 1 lakh crore during the last financial year. However, the turnover of the 18 district cooperative milk unions is not included in GCMMF's reported revenue.
