Udupi, Oct 19: The Original Abharan, Udupi, will reopen its historic store on CB Road on October 21, marking a significant milestone in the journey of Abharan Jewellers Private Limited. Established in 1935, the premises was the brand’s first-ever showroom and has continued to serve as the company’s head office and registered office, remaining at the centre of its identity for more than nine decades.
The story of Abharan began with a single showroom in Udupi. Under the vision of Chairman Madhukar Kamath, that foundation evolved into a jewellery retail network of 20 stores across eight districts in Karnataka and Goa. The growth reflects a long-term approach to building a business that could expand into new markets while retaining the values and personal relationships that shaped its beginnings.
Today, The Original Abharan’s presence extends beyond its coastal roots, with its first and only official store in Bengaluru located at 5th Block, Jayanagar. The expansion marks a new phase in the brand’s journey, bringing its established identity to a metropolitan market while keeping its founding store at the heart of its operations.
