Mumbai, Oct 19: Actor Disha Patani visited Tiger Shroff's residence late on Sunday night after unidentified men opened fire at the actor's BMW in Mumbai's Juhu area. Tiger's sister, Krishna Shroff, also arrived at the residence following the incident.

The visit came as Mumbai Police launched a search for the attackers and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured the actor's family of strict action against those responsible.

Videos shared by paparazzi showed Disha arriving at the residence in a white top and blue jeans. She was seen sitting in the front passenger seat before hurrying inside as photographers tried to capture her on camera. She also appeared to be carrying a care package.

Disha and Tiger have shared a close bond over the years and have worked together in films such as Baaghi 2 and the music video Befikra. Although they have frequently been linked romantically, neither has publicly confirmed being in a relationship.

Five rounds fired at BMW

The firing took place around 7 pm on Sunday near Pushpa Park in Juhu, within the jurisdiction of Juhu police station. According to police, Tiger was returning after a private event when unidentified men opened fire at his BMW.

The actor had reportedly played a football match earlier that evening. While Tiger escaped unhurt, his driver sustained a gunshot injury and another man was also injured in the incident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that Tiger had not suffered any bullet injuries. His father, actor Jackie Shroff, later told the media that his son was safe.

Videos that emerged after the shooting showed Tiger moving towards the driver's seat of his grey vehicle and driving away. Preliminary information suggested that three men arrived on a motorcycle, with two allegedly opening fire while the third waited on the bike to facilitate their escape.

Footage circulating online appeared to show the attackers firing several rounds before fleeing the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Leaders assure strict action

Following the incident, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Tiger's residence and condemned the shooting. He said he had spoken to the Mumbai Police Commissioner and that several teams had been formed to identify and arrest the suspects.

Shinde stressed that the safety of every citizen, regardless of whether they were a celebrity or an ordinary person, was the responsibility of the police and government. He warned that no gang would be spared and said strict action would be taken to maintain law and order.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also spoke to Tiger over the phone and assured him that the accused would be traced and apprehended at the earliest.

Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams to track down those involved in the shooting. One person was detained for questioning in Santacruz as part of the investigation, although the detention does not establish any involvement in the attack.

Meanwhile, a social media post attributed to Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, who are reportedly based abroad, claimed responsibility for the firing in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi group. However, police have not confirmed the alleged gang connection or the authenticity of the post.

The incident has sparked concern within the film industry, with actors and filmmakers, including Ranvir Shorey, Rahul Dholakia and Poonam Pandey, expressing shock over the shooting and raising concerns about safety in Mumbai.
