Karkala, Oct 7: Three students of Christking English Medium Primary and High School, Karkala, have been selected for the Mysuru division-level shuttle badminton tournament following their impressive performance at the Udupi district-level competitions.

The tournament, organized by the department of public instruction, government of Karnataka, was held at the Brahmavar Sports Club.

In the primary school girls’ category, the team represented by 8th-standard student Grantha and 7th-standard student Anjani Kamath secured first place and qualified for the Mysuru division-level tournament.

In the high school girls’ category, 9th-standard student Khushi Shetty and 10th-standard student Joanna Valencia Ferrao represented the team, which also secured first place. Khushi Shetty has been selected to represent Udupi district at the Mysuru division-level tournament, which will be held in Chamarajanagar district.

The school management, teachers and students have congratulated the young athletes on their achievement.
