Mumbai, Sep 25: Actress Gauahar Khan has reacted to actor Aasif Khan's recent remarks on 'Bigg Boss 20', questioning his comments linking a moustache with being a "real man".
Taking to social media, Gauahar questioned Aasif's thinking and said a man's identity should be reflected in his thoughts and behaviour rather than his physical appearance.
"Yaar I have a question, Asif ka career toh acting mein bohat accha chal raha hai naa, he shouldn't have come on the show to showcase such small thinking and really silly behaviour," Gauahar wrote.
She also criticised Aasif for appearing to enjoy another contestant's comments against Uditi.
"When that girl was dissing Uditi, in the most low manner, he was enjoying like they r all his thoughts. Felt bad seeing that. Such a good actor par Har cheez mein aisi soch choti lagti hai," she said.
Reacting specifically to Aasif's statement that a moustache is a sign of manhood, Gauahar said, "Mard ki nishaani mooch hoti hai hahahahah islam mein toh musalman mard ke liye sunnah is no moonch, has he forgotten that ???? Mard ki nishaani uski unchi soch aur behaviour hoti hai! Wish he knew that!"
Gauahar's comments came after Aasif, during a recent conversation inside the 'Bigg Boss 20' house, said he comes from Rajasthan, where moustaches are considered an identity.
He further remarked that men without moustaches were not considered masculine enough. His comments came after Gullu and Aman Gandhi questioned the importance he was attaching to facial hair.
Gullu pointed out that several people, including 'Bigg Boss' host Salman Khan, do not sport moustaches.
Fellow contestant Mahhi Vij also disagreed with Aasif's views, saying that being a "real man" was not about physical attributes but about a person's behaviour and ability to keep a family together.
Gauahar has a strong association with the 'Bigg Boss' franchise. She participated in 'Bigg Boss 7' in 2013 and emerged as the winner of the season.
Aasif Khan is currently participating in 'Bigg Boss 20'. The 'Panchayat' actor has been at the centre of several conversations and controversies inside the reality show since entering the house.
