Mumbai, Sep 19: Tensions escalated inside the Bigg Boss 20 house after actress Mahhi Vij and boxing champion Mary Kom had a heated argument, with the confrontation later turning personal.

The clash began after Bigg Boss asked Mahhi, Uditi Singh and Aasif Khan to name the contestant they felt had contributed the least to the game. Their decision was linked to a task that could help secure ration for the entire house.

While Mahhi and Uditi initially had another contestant in mind, Aasif disagreed. Mahhi eventually named Mary Kom, saying she had mostly seen Mary involved in cooking and questioned her contribution to the game.

Aasif disagreed with Mahhi's assessment, pointing out that other contestants had contributed less. The disagreement eventually resulted in the task being cancelled.

Mary later confronted Mahhi and Uditi, arguing that cooking and feeding the housemates was also a contribution. She questioned what the two actresses brought to the house beyond getting ready and wearing new clothes.

The argument intensified when Mary referred to Mahhi's role as a mother and said she should understand the difficulty of managing a household. Mahhi objected and asked Mary not to bring her motherhood into the argument.

Mary then highlighted her achievements representing India at the international level. When Rohed Khan described Mary as India's pride, Mahhi responded that the other contestants were also a source of pride for the country. Mary disagreed and pointed to her own international sporting career.

The confrontation took a more personal turn later when Mary was not present. Mahhi made further remarks about Mary, including comments about her marriage and separation from her husband, while defending her own role as a wife and mother.

Isha Rikhi, who was present during the conversation, intervened and asked Mahhi not to bring Mary's personal life, marriage or husband into the argument. Mahhi, however, continued to defend her remarks.

This was not the first time Mahhi had referred to divorce inside the Bigg Boss 20 house. Earlier, while speaking to Isha, she had described the season as a "divorcee special" after referring to the personal lives of both Isha and Mary.

Both Isha and Mary have previously indicated that they do not want their relationships to define their identities on the show.
