Stree Sangatan City Varado celebrates Mother Mary’s Nativity with unity and fellowship

Mangaluru, Sep 17: Stree Sangatan of City Varado came together to celebrate the Nativity of Mother Mary in an atmosphere of faith, gratitude and fellowship on September 16.

Special prayers were offered by Fr Richard Coelho, vicar forane of the Mangalore diocese and Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, vicar of Vamanjoor parish. The members also prayed for the continued guidance, blessings and strength of God upon Fr Sylvester, director of the organisation, for his dedicated service. 

Clara Pinto, president of Stree Sangatan, City Varado, participated in the celebration along with Usha Fernandes, secretary of Stree Sangatan, City Varado, and Mangalore diocese. Vice president Sunitha D'Souza conducted the games, while treasurer Shobha Saldanha was also present.

Gretta Menezes, president of the Vamanjoor unit, along with the members of the unit, took special care of the arrangements for the celebration. The organisers expressed their appreciation for their efforts.

Presidents of all 11 units, along with their executive committee members, attended the celebration and joined in the fellowship.

The City Varado president said the celebration provided an opportunity for members to come together to honour Mother Mary and strengthen their bond of unity. She also conveyed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme and expressed hope that the unity and fellowship among the members would grow stronger in the coming days.
