Bengaluru, Sep 16: Technology major Oracle has reportedly begun a fresh round of layoffs in India, affecting several mid- and senior-level employees working in web development and maintenance, according to people familiar with the matter.
Sources estimated that between 1,000 and 1,500 employees in India could be affected by the latest workforce reduction. However, the figure could not be independently verified.

The reported layoffs are also said to have affected employees associated with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in India, though the exact number of employees impacted remains unclear.
Oracle had not responded to queries regarding the reported layoffs at the time of publication.
The latest development comes amid continued restructuring across the global technology sector, with companies reviewing their workforce and operations in response to changing business priorities.
