Mumbai, Sep 15: Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently reunited with filmmaker David O. Russell in Los Angeles, taking a trip down memory lane to recall his experience working on their acclaimed 2012 film, “Silver Linings Playbook”.

Sharing a picture with the American director on social media, Kher penned a heartfelt note describing their meeting as a rejuvenating experience. He thanked Russell for hosting him at his home and for their wide-ranging conversations about Shiva, life, cinema, and Russell’s latest film, “Madden”.

“Dearest David O. Russell, It was so wonderful meeting you in Los Angeles. Thank you for the delicious lunch, for our beautiful conversations about Shiva, life, cinema, and your latest film #Madden, and for welcoming me into your home. What a beautiful house!! And what extraordinary energy it has! Meeting you is always rejuvenating. I come away feeling more hopeful about life, more excited about cinema, and more inspired to work,” Kher wrote.

The ‘Special 26’ actor also fondly remembered playing Dr. Cliff Patel—the therapist and friend to Bradley Cooper's character, Pat—in “Silver Linings Playbook”. Calling the project an experience he will always treasure, Kher added, “I look forward to working with you again and again and again! God bless you, my friend. Om Namah Shivay!.”
