Panaji, Sep 15: BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral has hinted that he may reconsider accepting a BJP ticket in the future, saying that even if the party offers him one, he would have to think about whether to accept it, while ultimately leaving the decision about his political future to the people.
Speaking on Prudent’s Head On programme, Cabral said a “BJP versus BJP” situation had emerged in several constituencies, describing the development as unhealthy for the party.
Cabral said the BJP had changed significantly over the past 10 years, alleging that leaders from other political parties had been inducted into the Cabinet while loyal party workers and sitting MLAs were overlooked.

He said he had given up his Cabinet position for MLA Aleixo, but there had been no reconsideration of the decision later.
Cabral questioned why loyal MLAs were being kept out of the Cabinet and were also being denied positions in government corporations.
The BJP MLA also took a swipe at his critics over the Porvorim flyover, alleging that those who had opposed the project earlier were now trying to take credit for it.
Cabral’s remarks come amid growing political discussions within the BJP in Goa and could fuel speculation over his future political course.
