Gurugram, Sep 14: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Bainsla has disputed allegations made by a woman biker who claimed that a car followed her and rammed her motorcycle in Gurugram, saying the viral videos of the incident do not show the complete sequence of events.

Bainsla’s comments came after videos recorded on cameras mounted on motorcycles went viral on social media. The woman alleged that the occupants of the car followed her and that the driver was driving aggressively before the vehicle collided with her motorcycle.

The viral footage prompted Gurugram police to take suo motu cognisance of the incident and register an FIR against an unidentified person. The injured biker has also said that she would file an FIR with her lawyer and pursue legal action.

Responding to the allegations, Bainsla claimed that the bikers had repeatedly come in front of his car and slowed down. “They were repeatedly coming in front of me and then slowing down the bike,” he said, adding that CCTV footage should be examined to understand the complete sequence.

He further claimed that the bikers turned their motorcycle without checking the car’s mirror and lost control, resulting in the collision. “Let’s assume that the collision happened accidentally. I accept that a mistake happened,” he said.

Bainsla maintained that he had been asking the bikers to slow down rather than attempting to hit them. He said he had told them to ride properly but not to repeatedly trouble him.

Expressing regret over the woman’s injuries, Bainsla said he did not know that a woman was riding the motorcycle at the time of the collision. “I am sorry that a mistake happened. I did not know that there was a girl on it,” he said.

He also said he would respond to allegations if they affected his family, insisting that nothing of the nature being alleged had happened. Bainsla further claimed that he had no previous criminal cases registered in his name.

The woman’s account, however, differs sharply from Bainsla’s version. She has alleged that the car was following her and was being driven aggressively before swerving into her motorcycle.

A fellow biker’s helmet camera also captured events after the collision. The footage showed the rider briefly confronting the man when the car stopped at a traffic signal before the sedan drove away.

Police investigation into the incident is underway, and the competing claims are expected to be examined through CCTV footage and other available evidence.
