Eighth day of novena held at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica in Harihara

Davanagere, Sep 6: The eighth day's novena at the Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica in Harihara, under the diocese of Shimoga, began at 5.30 pm with the rosary, a procession, and floral homages to Harihara Matha. The prayers were led by Fr Alvine Stanislaus, manager and correspondent of Lourdes Boys School, Davanagere. Following this, the minor basilica assistant parish priest Fr Anthony Rosario MSFS led the novena.

At 6.30 pm, Fr Henry Thomas, parish priest of St Ignatius Loyola Church, Gadag, offered the Holy Eucharist. He preached his homily on the theme 'Mother Mary is the Mother of the refugees', basing his teachings on Deuteronomy 24:14-22, 1 Timothy 5:1-8, and Matthew 18:15-20.

After the Mass, Fr Henry Thomas led the adoration, while Fr Franklin D'Souza led the healing prayers.

The rector of the minor basilica, Fr George K A, thanked Fr Henry Thomas and the benefactors.
