Gwalior, Aug 25: A young man in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior landed in trouble after a reel featuring his car covered in thousands of lipstick kiss marks went viral on social media, prompting traffic police to impose a fine of Rs 5,500.

Aditya Sikarwar, a Gwalior resident, had transformed his white Maruti Suzuki Swift into what he called a “kissing car” by covering its bonnet, doors and other parts with around 3,400 lipstick kiss marks.

The unusual idea was created specifically to attract attention on social media. According to reports, Aditya's girlfriend made the kiss marks using lipstick, spending around three-and-a-half hours completing the artwork.

Aditya subsequently took the decorated car onto the road and recorded reels while driving. The videos were uploaded on Instagram under the name “Kissing Car” and quickly went viral.

The reel reportedly garnered more than 55 lakh views within 24 hours, but its popularity also brought it to the attention of the Gwalior Traffic Police.

In the video, the car was allegedly seen being driven at high speed, raising concerns over road safety and traffic violations. The vehicle's registration number, MP07 CC 9452, was clearly visible in the footage, allowing police to trace it.

Police subsequently located and seized the car from the Thatipur area and summoned Aditya to the traffic police station for questioning.

During questioning, Aditya admitted his mistake. He was then made to remove the 3,400 lipstick marks from the car, with the vehicle being cleaned with water at the police station.

Traffic police also imposed a fine of Rs 5,500 for allegedly driving in a manner that endangered road safety and violating traffic rules.

The incident has drawn attention to the growing trend of creating unusual and potentially risky content for social media views, with authorities warning that going viral cannot come at the expense of road safety.
