Mangaluru, Aug 24: An information-talk ‘Nurturing children’s mental and emotional well-being’ was organised by Dharma Jyothi Social Centre at its premises on August 23. The programme was inaugurated by the director of the organisation, Sr Veera Monis.
The resource person, Dr Caroline D’Souza a renowned psychiatrist from Mangaluru, created awareness among the participants about the emotional, mental, and social challenges faced by children and adolescents in today’s digital age.




She also explained the importance of understanding children’s emotional needs and highlighted effective ways for parents to communicate and support their children in the digital era. Counsellor Mubarak was also present during the programme.
A total of 172 parents of the organisation's beneficiary students participated in the session. The session provided valuable insights and practical guidance to parents on supporting their children’s mental and emotional well-being while helping them navigate the challenges associated with the digital world.
