Mumbai, Aug 22: Bollywood actor Bobby Deol and the team of the popular web series ‘Aashram’ have commenced shooting for the highly anticipated fourth season of the drama.

Sharing the update with fans, Prakash Jha Productions took to Instagram on Saturday and posted a picture of a clapperboard bearing the words ‘Aashram 4’, placed inside a place of worship.

"Ek Aur aarambh …Aashram ke naye adhyay mein aapka swagat hai. Japnaam. Aashram 4 now filming!" the production house captioned the post.

The announcement sparked excitement among fans, who flooded the comment section with reactions.

Bobby Deol will reprise his role as the controversial Baba Nirala in the new season, which is expected to stream on MX Player, like the previous instalments.

The fourth season will also feature Aaditi Pohankar as Pammi, Chandan Roy Sanyal as Bhopa Swami, along with Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka, Esha Gupta, Adhyayan Suman and Tridha Choudhury, who are set to return to their respective characters.

Directed by Prakash Jha, ‘Aashram’ follows the journey of Baba Nirala, played by Bobby Deol, a self-styled godman who manipulates politics, crime and blind faith to build an empire hiding a web of dark secrets.

The first season premiered on MX Player on August 28, 2020, followed by the second season on November 11, 2020. The third season, the latest instalment so far, was released in June 2022.

Given the success of the earlier seasons, expectations are high for the fourth chapter of the series.

Apart from ‘Aashram 4’, Bobby Deol's upcoming projects include ‘Jana Nayagan’, ‘Teesvin Manzil’, ‘Desi Sherlock Holmes’, ‘The Huntersent’ and an untitled film with Ali Abbas Zafar.
