New Delhi, Aug 12: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the Class 12 supplementary examination 2026.
Students who appeared for the compartment and other supplementary examinations can check their results through the DigiLocker results portal. The results have also been made available on the official CBSE websites, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in .
Candidates can download their online marksheets by entering the required credentials, including roll number, admit card number, school number and security PIN.
A total of 2,75,287 students appeared for the supplementary examinations, against 2,91,576 candidates who had registered for them.
The CBSE conducted the Class 12 supplementary examinations under three categories — compartment candidates, improvement candidates and candidates with six subjects.
Of the students who appeared, 1,11,056 were improvement candidates, while 1,64,231 appeared under the compartment category. Overall, 53.08 per cent of students cleared the examinations.
The Class 12 supplementary examinations were conducted by CBSE on July 28 for students who could not secure the minimum passing marks in the main board examinations. The exams were held offline in pen-and-paper format at centres across India and abroad.
CBSE said printed marksheets and passing certificates of students, including those studying abroad, will be supplied through their respective schools. Private candidates will have to collect their printed documents from the examination centres where they appeared.
“Students of CBSE-affiliated schools abroad can access their results and digital academic documents through DigiLocker,” the board said in a statement.
The three categories included compartment candidates who could not secure qualifying marks in five mandatory subjects, and improvement candidates who had passed but wanted to improve their performance.
The third category comprised candidates with six subjects. These were students declared passed after replacing a main subject with an additional subject but who wished to reappear for the main subject in which they had not secured qualifying marks.
