Mumbai, Aug 11: Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 contestant Shagun Sharma has opened up about what happened during the elimination task in the latest episode, claiming that an important part of her conversation was edited out of the show.
The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 actor shared a detailed 10-point note on her Instagram Stories, explaining her side of the controversy and strongly disagreeing with the suggestion that she was “not getting footage”.
Shagun said there had been a common understanding among the contestants since the beginning of the show that whoever lost a task would be considered for the Pain Auction. She said that when host Rohit Shetty asked the contestants to give two names, the second name was being discussed when another contestant allegedly told her that they were older, knew the industry better and that she should take the Fear Funda because she was not getting enough footage and doing the stunt would give her footage.

Shagun said she did not agree that lack of footage should be a reason to send someone to the Fear Funda, particularly because she was young and had already experienced what she described as a “really, really brutal” Pain Auction.
She claimed that only a small part of the conversation, particularly the final portion of the reasoning, was telecast. According to her, showing the conversation without its full context could make her reaction appear very different from what actually happened.
Shagun also said that a lot of material recorded during the show does not make it into the one-hour episodes. She said she had clearly asked the team to either show the complete context or not show the conversation at all, as presenting only half of a conversation could create a completely different impression.
She further clarified that performing poorly in a task does not mean she was lying in an interview. Her comments appeared to refer to her earlier claim that Gaurav Khanna had bullied her during the show and that she would not want to meet him again.
Shagun concluded her note by saying that standing up for oneself should not depend on how famous the other person is.
In the latest episode hosted by Rohit Shetty, Vishal Aditya Singh became the first contestant to be eliminated from the fear-based reality show after losing a snake-themed stunt.
The elimination task followed another physically demanding challenge involving molten wax, in which contestants had to withstand hot wax being poured over their arms and collect as much of it as possible. Several viewers criticised the stunt on social media, describing it as “traumatising”.
The 15th season features a mix of returning contestants and newcomers, including Rubina Dilaik, Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Jasmine Bhasin, Avinash Mishra, Ruhaanika Dhawan, Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Shagun Sharma and Orhan Awatramani, among others.
Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 premiered on August 1 on Colors TV and JioHotstar.
