Panaji, Aug 9: Toll collection on the Dharagal-Mopa NH-166S link road has been deferred beyond August 10, providing temporary relief to taxi operators protesting the proposed charges.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant assured Green Cab drivers that the toll collection would not begin as scheduled after operators submitted a memorandum raising concerns over the proposed toll on the route to Mopa International Airport.

The decision marks another postponement in the implementation of toll collection on the stretch amid continued opposition from local taxi operators.
However, the authorities have not yet announced a revised date for the commencement of toll collection.
