Konkani film ‘Bapache Putache Navim’ to be screened in Delhi, Agrar and Mumbai

Mangaluru, Aug 4: The critically acclaimed Konkani film ‘Bapache Putache Navim’ will next be screened in Delhi on August 8, followed by a show at Agrar on August 15. A much-awaited Mumbai screening is scheduled for August 23, for which tickets have already been sold out.

Earlier, the successful screening of the film at ‘Niranthar Film Festival’ concluded at Udyavar, with the final show receiving an overwhelming response from audiences.

Following the screening the film, a large number of moviegoers from Udyavar, Kalmady, Udupi, Katpady and surrounding areas attended the show. Viewers expressed immense satisfaction with the film and praised its meaningful and thought-provoking content.

Meanwhile, the ICYM Moodbidri Deanery Committee has planned four special screenings of the film to support its various initiatives. ICYM members have been visiting homes to sell tickets for the screenings. The organisers expressed gratitude to all parish office-bearers who extended their support, especially former ICYM Central Committee president Vijoy Cardoza and Anisha Cordero of Siddakatte for spearheading the campaign.

Written and directed by Stany Bela and produced by Michael D'Souza and family under the Daijiworld Films banner, Bapache Putache Navim is a 100-minute Konkani family drama that explores parenting, relationships and the realities of an ageing society through parallel narratives. The film has won appreciation from audiences and critics alike for its emotionally engaging story, realistic treatment, strong performances, cinematography and music.
