Mumbai, Aug 2: Singer Sonu Thukral has approached the Delhi Police, alleging that an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated version of a viral clip from his song Jugni, featuring actress Jacqueline Fernandez, is being circulated on social media.

Sharing the update on Instagram, Thukral posted a photograph of himself with a police officer while holding a copy of the complaint.

"I have filed a police complaint regarding my song 'Jugni'. The clip has also been edited using AI and the AI-generated version of the clip is being circulated further. I will talk about it publicly soon," he wrote.

The song Jugni, released on July 15, had earlier sparked controversy after viewers claimed to have spotted an alleged wardrobe malfunction involving Jacqueline Fernandez in the music video. Following the backlash, the makers blurred the scene in the official version, although the original clip continued to circulate on social media.

So far, Jacqueline Fernandez has not issued any statement regarding the controversy, and the other members associated with the song have also remained silent on the matter.

Jugni is sung by Sonu Thukral and B Praak, with music composed by MNLTX and Avvy Sra. The lyrics and composition are by Fxrzii, while the music video was directed by Arvvindr S. Khaira.
At present, the official music video is no longer available on YouTube, though promotional clips continue to be accessible on Sonu Thukral's Instagram page.

On the film front, Jacqueline Fernandez was last seen in the comedy entertainer Welcome to the Jungle, which released in June and featured an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever and Shreyas Talpade. The film reportedly grossed Rs 192.62 crore worldwide.
