Mangaluru: MRPL CSR funds new toilet block at Moodshedde Govt School

Mangaluru, Jul 22: The foundation stone for a new toilet block at the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Model Higher Primary School in Moodshedde was laid by Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian on Wednesday. The project is being undertaken with a grant of Rs 15 lac under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of MRPL.

Speaking on the occasion, Kotian said that the project was made possible due to the dedicated efforts of Raghu Salian, president of the Vidyabodhini Education Trust of Thiruvail Government School. He appreciated Saliyan's commitment towards preserving and developing government schools and described his contribution to education and society as exemplary. He wished him continued success in carrying out more such educational and social initiatives.

Among those present were former Moodshedde panchayat presidents Anil Kumar and Hariprasad; SDMC president of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Government Composite High School, Moodshedde, Jayaram Kottari; SDMC president of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Model Higher Primary School, Vinayak; former Mangaluru City Corporation member Hemalatha Raghu Salian; Vidyabodhini Education Trust president Raghu Salian; local leaders Ramanath Attar, Harish Kumar and Yuvaraj; headmistress Molly Gracy Vas; retired physical education teacher of Thiruvail School Gopal U; school staff and local residents.
