New Delhi, Jul 13: A Delhi Police constable is accused of fatally shooting his wife in East Delhi's Kalyanpuri area following a domestic dispute, prompting a manhunt after he allegedly fled the scene, police said on Monday.
According to the preliminary investigation, the couple had been facing persistent marital problems and were frequently involved in disputes over personal matters. Police said another argument erupted on Sunday after they left their home together on a scooter.

Investigators believe the quarrel continued while the couple was travelling. CCTV footage recovered during the probe reportedly shows them stopping their scooter by the roadside before getting off and engaging in a heated exchange.
Police sources said the footage allegedly captures the constable pulling out his service pistol during the argument and shooting his wife. She sustained fatal injuries in the incident.
Officials said the accused fled immediately after the shooting. Multiple police teams have been deployed to track him down, while investigators are examining CCTV footage from nearby locations and possible escape routes to retrace his movements and establish the sequence of events.
The accused was serving with the Anti-Theft Squad of the East district at the time of the incident.
As part of the investigation, police are also recording statements from family members and people acquainted with the couple to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.
