Mumbai, Jul 11: Actor and YouTuber Abhishek Malhan says audiences will get to see a different side of him in the newly released music video 'Naa Pushde', where he steps away from his familiar fun-loving image to portray a romantic lead.
The song, sung by Saivi Fareed, has been written and composed by Deep Klair and Harsh Nussi. It captures the innocence, excitement and playful moments of young love, highlighting the lengths lovers go to just to catch a glimpse of each other.
Sharing his experience, Abhishek said the song immediately appealed to him because of its fresh sound and praised producer Anshul Garg and director Satti Dhillon for giving him the opportunity to explore a new genre.
"The freshness of the song and Saivi's voice instantly connected with me. The vision of Anshul Garg and director Satti Dhillon allowed me to do something new and exciting. Until now, people have mostly seen me as a cheerful and playful person, but 'Naa Pushde' lets them see a more romantic side of me. Working with Avneet made the chemistry feel very natural, and being part of Desi Music Factory's first music release in four years makes the project even more special," he said.
The music video also stars Avneet Kaur, while Rakhi Sawant and Sunil Pal add comic elements to the storyline.
The teaser, particularly the on-screen chemistry between Abhishek and Avneet, had already generated excitement among fans ahead of the song's release.
Avneet said the project was especially meaningful because it gave her an opportunity to celebrate her Punjabi roots on screen.
She shared that while filming the romantic sequences with Abhishek was enjoyable, performing the traditional Punjabi folk dance Gidda was one of the highlights of the experience.
"Being a Punjabi, it felt like an honour to perform Gidda on screen. I had a wonderful time shooting the video, and I'm grateful to Anshul sir for trusting us to headline Desi Music Factory's first music video in four years," she said.
'Naa Pushde' has been released under the Desi Music Factory label.
