Udupi, Jul 10: Day 5 of the Manipal International Summer School (MISS) 2026 combined immersive academic learning with a cultural exploration under the theme "Textiles, Gender and Identity."

Participants experienced the significance of local attire and visited the Udupi Magga saree unit at Kinnigoli. They learned about the traditional handloom weaving of the distinctive Udupi Magga sarees, which are celebrated for their vibrant borders, durability, and enduring craftsmanship.
