Udupi: MLA Yashpal Suvarna visits injured students after Manipal school bus accident

Udupi, Jul 10: Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna visited a Private Hospital in Manipal after learning about the accident involving a private school bus in which several students were injured.

During his visit, the MLA met the injured students undergoing treatment and enquired about their health condition with the attending doctors and the parents. He wished the students a speedy recovery and assured the families of all necessary support.

Expressing concern over the rising number of school bus accidents, MLA Yashpal Suvarna pointed out that three such incidents have been reported in the Udupi urban area within the past one month. Stressing the need to ensure the safety of schoolchildren, he urged the transport department, police department, education department, and the management of educational institutions to strictly enforce and comply with all safety regulations governing school transport.

Udupi City BJP president Dinesh Amin, secretary Gururaj Bhandary, BJP Yuva Morcha president Srivatsa, office-bearer Nithin Pai, and others accompanied the MLA during the hospital visit.
