Mumbai, Jul 8: The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have released the much-awaited first single, 'Tabaahi', offering fans a glimpse of the on-screen chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani ahead of the film's theatrical release.

The romantic track features the lead pair in several picturesque locations, highlighting their intense romance while also introducing key female characters played by Nayanthara and Tara Sutaria. Nayanthara portrays Yash's trusted aide, while Tara Sutaria plays his mistress in the film.

The music video opens with a quote by 13th-century poet Rumi: "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there."

Composed by Vishal Mishra, Tabaahi has been released in multiple Indian languages. The Hindi lyrics have been penned by Raj Shekhar, while Yogaraj Bhat, Ramajogayya Sastry, Vignesh Shivan, and Rafeeq Ahammed have written the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions respectively.

The song follows the release of the film's promotional teasers, including the latest one that drew mixed reactions on social media over its portrayal of female characters. The teaser showcased Yash in a dark, action-packed role alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.

Originally slated for an earlier release, the film's release was postponed as the makers sought to align its global distribution strategy. The action drama is now scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on August 26.

Shot in Kannada and English, Toxic will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
