Hyderabad, Jul 7: Veteran Telugu actor Venkatesh has reportedly joined the shooting of director Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming multi-starrer, tentatively titled #VenkyAnil5 – #NKRAR2, as the film enters an important phase of production.
Industry sources said the team is gearing up to film several key scenes on a specially constructed grand set. The schedule will feature Venkatesh alongside Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty, all of whom play prominent roles in the film.

The latest development comes shortly after the makers celebrated Kalyan Ram’s birthday on the film’s sets. To mark the occasion, the production team unveiled a new poster showcasing the actor in what they described as his most stylish look to date, while also confirming that the film is targeting a Sankranthi 2027 theatrical release.
Earlier, the production house, Shine Screen Studios, had issued a public advisory warning fans about a fake casting call being circulated in the film’s name. The makers clarified that no such recruitment drive had been authorised and urged aspiring artistes not to share personal details, documents or money with anyone falsely claiming to represent the project.
They emphasised that any official casting announcements would be made only through the production house’s verified social media platforms.
The film was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony last week, with noted producer Allu Aravind giving the ceremonial first clap. The makers have already confirmed that Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty are part of the cast.
National Award-winning composer G.V. Prakash Kumar has also been roped in to score the film’s music. Welcoming the composer on board, Anil Ravipudi recently shared a humorous promotional video on social media and expressed his excitement about collaborating with him for the project.
The video paid tribute to legendary filmmaker Jandhyala by recreating a memorable scene from the classic comedy Aha Naa Pellanta, adding a nostalgic touch to the announcement.
The project marks the fifth collaboration between Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh after the commercial successes of F2, F3, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, and MSG. It also reunites the director with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram following their hit film Pataas.
According to sources, the film brings together members of the Daggubati and Nandamuri families in a family-oriented entertainer featuring humour, emotion and relatable storytelling. Designed as a festive release, the film is expected to offer the signature blend of comedy and wholesome entertainment associated with Anil Ravipudi's filmmaking style.
