Puttur: Container hits car near Gundya, vehicle damaged

Puttur, Jul 4: A car was damaged after a container truck allegedly rammed into it near Gundya in Shirady village under Uppinangady police station limits on Friday.

According to the complaint, Harsha T, a resident of Sompura in Belur taluk, was on his way to Mangaluru to pick up his daughter, who is pursuing her studies there, when the accident occurred on a curve near Gundya.

The complainant alleged that the container driver violated traffic rules and drove the vehicle negligently before crashing into the car.

The impact caused significant damage to the car. However, Harsha escaped unhurt in the mishap.

A case has been registered at Uppinangady police station, and further investigation is underway.
