Mangaluru: Srinivas University faculty conducts cyber awareness session for CISF personnel

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 29: Srinivas University Institute of Allied Health Sciences proudly appreciates Nithinkumar M, assistant professor, department of computer science, for conducting a cyber security awareness session titled ‘Think before you click’ for CISF personnel at Mangalore International Airport on June 27.

The session focused on creating awareness about modern cyber threats, including social engineering, phishing attacks, fake websites, QR code scams (Quishing), online fraud, and the psychology behind cyber scams. Through practical demonstrations and real-world examples, participants learned how cybercriminals manipulate human behavior, identify phishing attempts, verify suspicious links, recognize digital deception, and adopt safe online practices to protect themselves and their organizations.

The programme also highlighted the importance of reporting cyber incidents through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and emphasized the role of vigilance, critical thinking, and responsible digital behavior in preventing cyber threats.

We congratulate Nithinkumar M on this valuable contribution and for representing the institution with dedication and excellence.

Congratulations and best wishes for many more achievements.
