Four killed, two injured as car crashes into truck on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Mandsaur, Jun 25: Four persons were killed and two others sustained injuries after a car rammed into a truck from behind on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur district on Thursday, police said.

The accident occurred around 11 am near Sitamau town when the speeding car reportedly crashed into the rear of a truck travelling on the expressway.

According to Sitamau police station in-charge Kamlesh Prajapati, two occupants of the car died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries during treatment at a hospital.

The car involved in the accident was registered in Maharashtra, police said.

The two injured persons have been admitted to the district hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
