Mumbai, Jun 25: Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh has heaped praise on Bollywood star Akshay Kumar after sharing screen space with him in the song Ghis Ghis Ghis from the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle.
Describing the experience as a dream come true, Akshara said she was particularly impressed by Akshay's professionalism and commitment, revealing that the actor continued shooting despite suffering from a high fever.
Speaking about the shoot, Akshara said Akshay was running a temperature of around 103-104 degrees but remained fully focused on his work.
"The biggest thing was that he had a fever of 103-104 degrees while shooting. I kept observing him and realised how much he loves his work and his craft. He works with a great sense of responsibility and dedication," she said.
The actress also recalled the excitement and nervousness she felt after learning that she would feature alongside the Bollywood superstar.
According to Akshara, she first received a call from the film's production team regarding the song. Later, choreographer Ganesh Acharya personally contacted her and encouraged her to take up the project.
"The moment I heard Ganesh sir and Akshay sir's names, I was completely blank," she said, adding that she felt both grateful and overwhelmed by the opportunity.
Akshara admitted she was so nervous about working with Akshay that she had to step away briefly to calm herself.
"Until yesterday, I used to watch Akshay sir's films on television and clap. Suddenly, I was getting the chance to share screen space with him. It truly felt like life was writing its own script," she said.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle boasts a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and several others.
The film is presented by A.A. Nadiadwala, Cape of Good Films and Star Studio18 in association with Seeta Films and Rakesh Dang. Welcome To The Jungle is scheduled for release in theatres on June 26.
