Mangaluru, Jun 25: The inauguration of the Bunnies Movement of Carmel School for the academic year 2026 – 27 was held on Wednesday, June 24 in the school premises with great joy, enthusiasm and excitement as it marked a special milestone for the tiny tots of UKG as they were officially welcomed into the Bunnies Movement.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by a prayer song invoking God’s Blessings for the success of the event and for the children as they begin this new journey.
Dignitaries present, Sr Marie Evelyn, the joint secretary, Sr Rosevera, the principal and Lathika K, the chief guest, teachers, support staff and the children were cordially greeted and welcomed by Marina.
The creative inauguration of the Bunnies Movement was the highlight and made the occasion truly meaningful. As part of the ceremony, bunnies aprons were conferred on all the children, symbolizing their formal entry into the movement. The children looked cheerful and proud as they received their aprons, which was followed by the bunnies motto and the singing of the Bunnies Song, which filled the atmosphere with energy and joy.
A special felicitation to the support staff was organized as a service activity to acknowledge and appreciate their sincere dedication, hard work and valuable contribution to the smooth functioning of the school. This thoughtful gesture reflected the values of gratitude and respect.
The gathering was further enriched by an inspiring message by the Lathika K, honored guest followed by the principal’s message which emphasized the importance of discipline, kindness, responsibility and service in the holistic development of children.
The event concluded with the introduction of the bunnies to the entire school accompanied by the school band making it lively and the enthusiastic participation of the children added life and charm.
