Mumbai, Jun 24: Speculation surrounding Ranveer Singh's next film project intensified after the actor was spotted at filmmaker Hansal Mehta's office in Mumbai, fuelling rumours that an official announcement of the much-discussed zombie apocalypse thriller 'Pralay' could be imminent.
Ranveer, who has been the subject of considerable curiosity following the blockbuster success of the 'Dhurandhar' franchise, was seen arriving at the Bandra office of True Story Films LLP, the production house founded by Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal. Dressed in black and attempting to avoid attention with a cap and face mask, the actor was photographed leaving the premises on Tuesday evening.

Also seen at the office was noted casting director Mukesh Chhabra, further adding to speculation that preparations for Pralay may be underway. Chhabra previously collaborated with Ranveer on the highly successful Dhurandhar films.
Industry reports suggest that Pralay will be directed by Jai Mehta, son of Hansal Mehta, who is best known for co-directing the acclaimed financial thriller series Scam 1992.
Following the circulation of photographs and videos on social media, fans began speculating about a possible announcement of the project.
"Pralay incoming?" and "Pralay announcement loading?" were among the reactions posted online, while some fans wondered whether the makers were planning to unveil the film on Ranveer's birthday on July 6.
The project had reportedly faced uncertainty in recent weeks after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer over his exit from Don 3 shortly before filming was scheduled to begin.
The film body had initially urged its members not to work with the actor until the matter was resolved with producer Excel Entertainment. However, the directive was later withdrawn following objections from various industry bodies and a legal notice sent by Ranveer.
With the dispute no longer affecting his professional commitments, attention has now shifted back to Pralay, which is reportedly being produced by True Story Films LLP in association with Applause Entertainment.
Meanwhile, actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who gained nationwide recognition for her role in the Malayalam superhero film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, is rumoured to have been cast as the female lead.
While neither Ranveer nor the makers have officially confirmed the project, his latest visit to Hansal Mehta's office has reignited expectations that an announcement may be on the horizon.
