Bantwal: Youth killed after scooter-car collision near Sajipanadu

Bantwal, Jun 19: A 22-year-old youth died after the scooter he was riding was hit by a car at Deraje near Sajipanadu on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Aseer (22), son of Abdul Rahiman of Madyalachil near Sajipanadu.

According to reports, Aseer was travelling from Sajipa towards Benaka on his Activa scooter when a car coming from the opposite direction allegedly collided with the two-wheeler, resulting in the accident.

The impact threw Aseer onto the road, causing severe head injuries. Local residents rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.

Aseer was an active member of the social service wing of the SKSSF organisation and was known for his involvement in various community welfare activities.

He is survived by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Bantwal traffic police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
