Kundapur: Moodlakatte Institutions inaugurates 10-day Yoga Camp, 12th International Yoga Day-2026

Kundapur, Jun 18: The 12th International Yoga Day-2026 celebrations along with a 10-day Yoga Camp, jointly organized by IMJ College of Allied Health Sciences and Moodlakatte College of Physiotherapy, Moodlakatte, Kundapur, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm on Wednesday.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr Satappa Hoovinahalli, vice principal of Muniyal College of Yoga and Naturopathy, said that yoga is one of the most effective means of promoting physical and mental well-being. He urged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to lead a healthy and balanced life.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, principal of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, stated that yoga is not merely a form of physical exercise but a holistic way of life. He emphasized that regular practice of yoga helps students develop concentration, self-confidence, and a positive outlook towards life.

Among those present were Dr Padmacharan Swain, dean of Moodlakatte Educational Institutions, and professor Jennifer Freeda Menezes, principal of Moodlakatte Nursing College. Professor Hemalatha, principal of IMJ College of Allied Health Sciences and Moodlakatte Institute of Paramedical Sciences, and Soujanya, vice principal of IMJ College of Allied Health Sciences, were also present.

Faculty members, students, and several dignitaries from the educational institutions participated in the inaugural programme.
