Mangaluru, Jun 13: Lourdes Central School proudly hosted LCS Summit 2026 to honour the outstanding achievements of the grade XII students of the academic year 2025–26. The programme was held in the Summit Hall amidst an atmosphere of pride, gratitude and celebration.

The event commenced with a guard of honour presented by the school band. The procession was led by the head boy, Karma and the head girl, Sharvi Shetty with an NCC cadet carrying the school flag and escorting the dignitaries. The distinguished guests included the chief guest, Ankit Deswal, income tax inspector, income tax department, government of India; the manager, Fr Stany Pereira; the principal, Fr Johnson L Sequeira; the vice principal, Anita Thomas; academic coordinator, Deepa D’Souza; and the grade XII achievers.

The programme began with a prayer song by the school choir invoking God’s blessings upon the gathering. Fr Johnson L Sequeira welcomed the audience and congratulated the achievers on their remarkable accomplishments.

The programme continued with the formal welcome and felicitation of the chief guest, Ankit Deswal which was followed by an introduction by Sharmila Colaco. A major highlight of the event was the honouring of the grade XII school toppers and achievers by the dignitaries in recognition of their outstanding academic accomplishments. The names of the awardees were announced by Harshitha Shetty.

Adding a personal touch to the celebration, the science stream topper Ojas Samaga and commerce stream topper Carissa Sequeira shared their inspiring journeys, experiences and insights with the audience. Their speeches reflected perseverance, discipline and determination.

In his address, Ankit Deswal encouraged the students to pursue their goals with dedication and integrity. He emphasized the importance of hard work, purpose, and lifelong learning in achieving success.

The gathering was also privileged to hear the presidential address by Fr Stany Pereira, manager of the school. He congratulated the achievers and motivated the students to strive for excellence while remaining rooted in strong values and character.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Abhiram of grade XII. The school anthem was sung with pride and enthusiasm, reaffirming the vision and mission of Lourdes Central School. The event ended with a group photograph of the achievers, dignitaries, and class teachers, followed by refreshments.

LCS Summit 2026 was a memorable occasion that celebrated not only academic distinction but also the spirit of perseverance, dedication, and achievement, inspiring every student to dream big and work towards greater heights.
