Karnataka Bank observes World Environment Day at head office premises in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 5: Karnataka Bank celebrated World Environment Day on June 5 with a plantation drive organised at the Bank’s head office premises in Mangaluru.

The event was led by the Bank’s managing director & CEO, Raghavendra S Bhat along with senior management officials, who planted saplings as part of the initiative promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghavendra S Bhat emphasised the importance of protecting nature and adopting environmentally responsible practices in daily life. He stated that every individual has a role to play in preserving the environment for future generations. He encouraged people to reduce the usage of vehicles wherever possible, adopt car pooling practices, and gradually shift towards electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and pollution.

He further noted that small and conscious efforts by individuals and institutions can collectively create a significant positive impact on the environment. He also urged employees and customers to actively participate in green initiatives and contribute towards building a cleaner and healthier planet.

Karnataka Bank has consistently been undertaking various environmentally sustainable initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, reaffirming its commitment towards environmental conservation and a greener future.
