Kadaba, Jun 5: A cow that accidentally slipped and fell into a pond at Mardala near Kadaba was rescued safely on Thursday following the timely intervention of local residents, traders and workers.

The cow, belonging to Gopal Bhat of Mardala, had been left to graze in a plantation when it reportedly lost its footing and fell into a nearby pond.

Unable to rescue the animal on their own, family members sought help from local residents and traders in the area. Local resident Santosh played a key role by entering the pond and securing the cow with a rope, enabling others to pull the animal to safety.

MESCOM staff Uday Bhat Kajamule and Yallappa, along with local residents Andos, Janardana, Jagadish Rai, Anand, Balakrishna Gowda, Umesh, Nandan, Sundar Gowda, Vinod, Latheef and several others assisted in the rescue effort.

Thanks to their collective efforts, the cow was brought out unharmed, drawing appreciation from the animal's owner and local residents.
