Kundapur, May 30: An 80-year-old man died after a private bus collided with his motorcycle near Baallattu bridge at Moodubage in Siddapur on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Basava Naik (80). The private bus was travelling from Siddapur towards Kundapur, while Basava Naik was riding from Amparu towards his residence at Shanmattu.
The impact of the collision left the biker seriously injured. Local residents rushed him to the Government Hospital in Kundapur, where doctors declared him dead on examination.
A complaint in connection with the incident has been lodged by Premananda Shetty Kanyana. A case has been registered at the Shankaranarayana Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
