Texas, May 29: Eight tourists were rescued after a roller coaster ride malfunctioned and left them hanging upside down several stories above the ground at an amusement park in Texas, USA.
According to reports, the roller coaster reportedly broke down after reaching its peak and suddenly came to a halt, trapping the riders mid-air for several hours.

Following the incident, firefighters and emergency rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched an intensive rescue operation.
Rescue personnel used a specialised fire truck equipped with a long extended ladder to reach the stranded tourists at the elevated height.
Officials said each rider was carefully brought down individually using a rescue basket attached to the ladder.
All eight tourists were rescued safely, and no serious injuries were immediately reported.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the malfunction. Preliminary reports suggest that either a technical fault or a power outage may have led to the roller coaster stopping abruptly.
The stranded riders reportedly breathed a sigh of relief after being safely evacuated following the tense ordeal.
