Mumbai, May 29: While Bollywood releases Chand Mera Dil and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do continue to register moderate collections at the box office, South Indian films Drishyam 3 and Karuppu are maintaining a strong hold over audiences across the country.

Among the latest releases, Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam 3 emerged as one of the top performers on Thursday, May 28, while Suriya’s Karuppu continued its impressive theatrical run.

Chand Mera Dil, featuring Ananya Panday and Lakshya in lead roles, had generated considerable buzz before release but has struggled to translate the hype into major box office numbers. On its seventh day, the romantic drama earned Rs 2.20 crore, slightly improving from Rs 1.90 crore collected on Wednesday.

The film’s total earnings now stand at Rs 19.45 crore since its release on May 22, 2026.

Meanwhile, the multi-starrer Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh, has continued to witness a lukewarm response from moviegoers.

The film collected Rs 1.75 crore on its 14th day, compared to Rs 1.20 crore earned the previous day. Its overall box office collection has now reached Rs 41.95 crore. The movie hit theatres on May 15, 2026.

In contrast, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 has been performing strongly at the box office. The thriller collected Rs 6.50 crore on its eighth day after earning Rs 6.65 crore on day seven.

The film’s total collection has now touched Rs 81.80 crore since its release on May 21, 2026.

Tamil film Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, has also maintained a successful run since its release. The movie earned Rs 4.95 crore on its 14th day, taking its total collection to an impressive Rs 168.15 crore.

Released on May 14, 2026, Karuppu continues to draw strong audience response and remains one of the biggest box office successes among recent South Indian releases.
